Gold is a globally recognized leader in education research, evaluation policy and entrepreneurship and published author who has built a track record of creating strategic partnerships with policy makers, researchers, practitioners and corporations, communicating and publishing research findings and policy recommendations to diverse stakeholders, and raising funds to support programs and studies. Gold is a trained political scientist whose work bridges research, policy, academia and business. Over the past 20+ years, Gold’s work has impacted millions of youth and communities in the United States and abroad. He has held leadership positions in universities, urban government, not-for-profit agencies and private companies with increasing levels of responsibility.

As a consultant, a software founder, and a data strategist, she has provided executive teams with the analytical basis to grow successfully and measure impact. At Acceleration Group, she derived the insights that led clients to grow successfully, and at tech startup RebelBase, she led survey design and research, to guide software development and measure impact. As a senior data analyst for FreshDirect’s fast-growing B2B division, she analyzed market data and created voice-of-customer surveys to guide the executive team’s decision-making in its most successful period. Previously, she managed Morgan Stanley’s onshore and offshore software testing teams as a consultant for Capgemini. Erbil earned masters degrees in information systems and management of technology from Baruch’s Zicklin School of Business and NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering, respectively, and degrees in chemical and industrial engineering from Turkey’s leading Bogazici University.

With expertise in navigating complex regulatory landscapes and advancing economic mobility initiatives, Leonardo is deeply committed to shaping policies that drive innovation, equity, and social impact. Throughout his career, he has worked for organizations like the Urban Assembly and DREAM Charter school, as well as the NYC Department of Education and the New York City Council. He holds an MPA in Management and Policy from Columbia University and a BS in Finance and Marketing from NYU.
